• Press: Print Screen (sometimes labeled PrtScn or PrtSc)
  • This copies the entire screen to the clipboard. You can paste it into an application like Paint, Word, or any image editor using Ctrl + V.

• Press: Alt + Print Screen
  • This captures the currently active window and copies it to the clipboard. Again, you can paste it using Ctrl + V.

• Press: Windows Key + Print Screen
  • This captures the entire screen and automatically saves the screenshot as a PNG file in the Pictures > Screenshots folder.

• Press: Windows Key + Shift + S
  • This opens the Snipping Tool, allowing you to select a specific area of the screen to capture. The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard.

• Snipping Tool (Windows 7/8/10): Open it from the Start menu and use it to capture a freeform, rectangular, window, or full-screen snip.
• Snip & Sketch (Windows 10 and later): Press Windows Key + Shift + S or search for "Snip & Sketch" in the Start menu. This allows you to capture a portion of the screen and mark it up or save it.

• Press: Windows Key + G
  • Open the Game Bar and click the camera button to take a screenshot, or use Windows Key + Alt + Print Screen for a quick capture. The screenshot will be saved to Videos > Captures.

• Press: Command (⌘) + Shift + 3
• The screenshot will be saved to your desktop by default.

2.​

• Press: Command (⌘) + Shift + 4
• Your cursor will turn into a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture. Once you release, the screenshot will be taken and saved to your desktop.

• Press: Command (⌘) + Shift + 4, then press Spacebar
• The cursor will change to a camera icon. Move it over the window you want to capture, then click to take the screenshot.

• Press: Command (⌘) + Shift + 5
• This will bring up a toolbar with options to capture the entire screen, a selected window, or a specific portion. There are also options to record the screen.

5.​

• Add Control to any of the above shortcuts. For example:
  • Command (⌘) + Control + Shift + 3 copies the entire screen to the clipboard.
  • Command (⌘) + Control + Shift + 4 copies a selected portion to the clipboard.
