Both of these things have a striking resemblance to one another.
In response to Bluesky's Starter Packs concept, Threads is releasing its own version of the product. Within the article that Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has made regarding the update, it is explained that collections of recommended profiles will be offered to users when they begin following subjects and will also be included in the For You feed. The fact that Threads does not appear to have a name for this feature is quite interesting. On the other hand, this is not the first time that Threads has borrowed a concept that was initially developed by Bluesky, a competing platform. The final idea that made its way from Bluesky to a brief testing phase and then to an official release on the social network that is owned by Meta was the concept of custom feeds.
Bluesky is aware of the fact that a significant number of its existing features have begun to appear on Threads. In the month prior, when Meta's platform made the initial announcement that it would be introducing its own version of Starter Packs, the company posted a remark on its own Threads account that was directed at its rival. A couple of platforms have been competing with one another in an effort to attract dissatisfied former users of X, which was formerly known as Twitter. During the month of November, Bluesky achieved 20 million users, while Threads recorded 35 million signups for the month alone.
