When it is opened, it will feature a display that is nearly 20 inches in size, as stated by Mark Gurman.
There have been speculations circulating for years regarding the foldables that Apple might or might not be producing. These reports range from clamshell iPhone prototypes to plans for a foldable iPad. However, the most recent rumors imply that we might potentially be in for something far more significant. The Power On newsletter that was distributed this past weekend had an article written by Mark Gurman stating that Apple is working on a foldable gadget that will have a display that can expand to over 20 inches long. According to Gurman, the aim is to create "something akin to a giant iPad that unfolds into the size of two iPad Pros side-by-side," which will have components of functionality that are shared by both the iPad and the Mac. The release of the product is supposedly planned for the year 2028.In addition to the fact that the device will be gigantic, Gurman adds that Apple is also attempting to make it creaseless when it is opened. This is something that other firms have failed to accomplish with their own folding product lines. According to what he writes, Apple's prototypes "have a nearly invisible crease," but the crease is not absolutely completely gone. A leak that described a similar device with an 18.8-inch display and that is purportedly scheduled to be delivered between the years 2028 and 2030 is the source of the report, which originates approximately one week after the leak. The foldable device, according to Gurman's forecast, will be powered by "iPadOS or a variant of it."
