The change we talked about got delayed.

Minecraft: VR No More
Minecraft, a game known for its cubic world, no longer supports virtual reality. This change was detailed in the latest patch notes for the game's Bedrock edition, released today. Mojang, the game's developer, announced this update in October. The update includes a note from the fall saying the platforms will be removed in March, giving players who enjoyed VR a few extra weeks to dive into their blocky landscapes.
Game developers don't remove an entire platform lightly. And when you're talking about Minecraft, with hundreds of millions of players still logging on around the clock, it's hard to believe that Mojang would ditch VR unless there was some serious back-end restructuring at play here. There are still plenty of must-have VR games to justify owning the hardware (Beat Saber, anyone?), but it's troubling to see a major title such as Minecraft give up on it altogether.
