According to a story by the Financial Times, it appears that Meta is getting ready to add displays to its already popular range of Ray-Ban smart glasses. It is possible that these panels will be released in a subsequent version of the gadget as early as the following year. The second half of the year 2025 is the most likely window for the release.It has been reported by those who are familiar with Meta's plans that the screens will be on the smaller side and will most likely be utilized to display notifications or responses from Meta's artificial intelligence virtual assistant. It is extremely doubtful that the business intends to begin the process of transforming this device into a full mixed-reality device just soon.
In order to accomplish this, Meta has the recently introduced Orion augmented reality glasses, which are not expected to be available for several years. It is stated in the same source that the favorable reception that the Orion glasses have received has most likely sped up the development process and maybe insured that they will be released commercially. It was unclear whether the glasses would continue to be a prototype developed in-house.
Meta has been pleasantly surprised by the success of the Ray-Ban smart glasses, and it is not difficult to understand why. Not only do they look fantastic, but they also perform exceptionally well. In-ear speakers, cameras, microphones, and access to Meta's virtual assistant are all included in the prototype that is now available.
The simplicity of the current design is something that I really appreciate, especially when it comes to taking pictures and movies. The hope that I have is that displays will not interfere with the simplicity of the situation, and that they will not come at the expense of other things, such as upgrades to the camera system.
When it comes down to it, Ray-Ban Meta glasses are the ideal gadget for taking rapid photographs of a pet. Have you ever attempted to coerce an animal into remaining still so that you could retrieve your phone from a bag in order to take a picture of it? They never seem to be able to achieve anything. The Ray-Bans are the solution to that issue.
