When it finally arrives in March, the starting price will be $2,399.

This year at CES 2025, Lenovo will be showcasing a new generation of upgraded Legion gaming laptops. The Legion Pro 7i, which is the tenth generation, is the highlight of the presentation. Thanks to its cooling system, which permits up to 250W thermal design power (TDP), it is capable of supporting a graphics processing unit (GPU) of up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop. Additionally, it is equipped with an artificial intelligence engine that dynamically adjusts the wattage of the CPU and GPU in order to achieve optimal performance.

The 2025 Legion Pro 7i is capable of supporting a maximum processor of an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, and it incorporates the RTX 5090 graphics card, as previously indicated. The Legion Coldfront Vapor cooling method utilized by Lenovo enables the company to accommodate high-end hardware. Add to it up to 64 gigabytes of 6400MHz DDR5 (2 x 32GB) RAM and the built-in LA1+LA3 artificial intelligence processor, and you have a system that is supercharged for gaming on the road (and pretty much anything else you could throw at it).

An OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a 16:10 aspect ratio can be found on the laptop. The response time of the screen is one millisecond, and it can accommodate a frame rate of up to 240 hertz. It is capable of reaching a brightness of 500 nits. There are three USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and one HDMI 2.1 port on the Legion Pro 7i. One of the USB-C ports is Thunderbolt 4, respectively. It is quite a powerful computer, with a starting weight of approximately 6 pounds, thanks to all of the high-end gear that is included within it.

It will be available in March. The Legion Pro 7i, according to Lenovo, is slated to have a starting price of $2,399, and you can bet your bottom dollar that variations of the RTX 5090 will fetch a premium on top of that. However, all of that horsepower does not come cheap.

Lenovo also offers a 10th-generation version of the Legion 7i, which is not a "Pro" model. According to the company's peculiarly particular public relations text, this model is intended for "gamers actively studying in STEM programs and fields." A 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) OLED display with up to 240Hz and 1ms is also supported, and it is compatible with a graphics processing unit (GPU) of up to an Intel Ultra 9 275HX and an RTX 5070. However, because its Coldfront Hyper cooling system has a maximum thermal design power (TDP) of only 145W, you won't be able to achieve the same degree of top-tier performance as the more expensive Pro models.

It is noticeably slimmer and lighter than the Pro variants, reaching a starting weight of 4.4 pounds. (The peculiar positioning of the product as a "STEM student" by Lenovo is probably explained by the fact that it is more portable while still having a reasonable amount of power.) The chassis is made entirely of metal. When it is released in June, it will be priced at $1,599.

Finally, there is also a Legion 5i of the tenth generation. For the sake of maintaining the peculiarly particular PR frame, Lenovo states that this model is intended for "university gamers in non-STEM degrees." (It's really important to conquer every field!) It supports up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, and it has a 15.1-inch OLED display that is capable of displaying a WQXGA resolution of 2560 x 1600, 16:10, 165Hz, and 1ms. There is also an AMD model that can have a Ryzen AI 7 350 central processing unit.

With a starting price of $1,299, the Legion 5i is scheduled to be released in mid-May.
