Cooking spaghetti squash is easy and very versatile. Here is a step-by-step guide for cooking the oven, microwave, or stovetop method:

Option 1: Roasting in the Oven (Most Popular Method)\Ingredients:

1 spaghetti squash
Olive oil
Salt and pepper (optional)
Steps:
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cut the Squash: Carefully slice the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise with a sharp knife. Scoop out the seeds and pulp using a spoon.
Season the Squash:
Drizzle flesh with olive oil.
Season with salt and pepper, if needed.
Place on a Baking Sheet: Cut the squash halves in half along the equator and place the cut sides facing down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Roast: Toss for 35–45 minutes, based on the size of the squash. It will be done once the flesh has softened and may be easily poked with a fork.
Scrape the Strands:
Once cool enough to handle, use a fork to scrape the flesh into spaghetti-like strands.

Option 2: Microwaving (Quickest Method)

Steps:
Pierce the Skin: Use a fork to poke several holes in the squash to allow steam to escape.
Microwave Whole or Halved:
For a whole squash: Microwave on high for 5–6 minutes per pound (10–15 minutes total for most squash), turning halfway through.
For a halved squash: Place cut-side down in a microwave-safe dish with 1/4 cup of water. Microwave on high for 10–12 minutes.
Cool and Scrape: Let it cool slightly, then cut it open (if whole), scoop out seeds, and scrape the flesh with a fork into strands.

Option 3: Boiling

Steps:
Cut and Seed the Squash: Cut the squash in half and remove the seeds.
Boil Water: Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.
Cook the Squash: Add the squash halves to the boiling water and cook for 15–20 minutes, until tender.
Drain and Scrape: Remove the squash, let it cool slightly, and scrape out the strands with a fork.
Serving Ideas:
Simple Side: Toss with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Pasta Alternative: Top with marinara sauce, meatballs, or pesto.
Stuffed Squash: Take the halves out and fill up the bowls, using vegetables, cheese, or some protein.
