Discord's CEO is retiring as the co-founder of the chat app, and Humam Sakhnini will take over. He has been working at Activision Blizzard before. Citron will remain on the Discord board and Stanislav Vishnevskiy will work as the CTO. In a statement, Citron said, "We've always been about bringing people together around games from day one. It's a mission I've given my professional life to, and I'm confident that handing the baton to Humam is the right evolution for Discord's future.".Citron's departure comes against a backdrop of Discord seeking to go public. According to a March New York Times report, the company is in talks with investors about taking it public. Sakhnini has held leadership roles at public companies before, including as president of King Digital, maker of Candy Crush and other popular mobile titles, after it was acquired by Activision Blizzard. Given the impending IPO, bringing in a seasoned executive to guide Discord toward that goal could be a smart move. Asked if the company would indeed go public, Citron didn't deny the possibility: "As you can imagine, hiring someone like Humam is a step in that direction." Not long ago, Discord held talks to be acquired by Microsoft, which would make compatibility with Xbox a no-brainer. The speculated $10 billion deal went nowhere, but both Xbox and PlayStation platforms integrated Discord.

Meta AI is the coolest thing you can do with your new Ray-Ban Meta glasses, and it will soon be available to even more people. This means that more people will be able to use the company's Live Translation feature (available for all Ray-Ban Meta markets) and Live AI (that means you can have an open conversation about the things you see) will soon come to the USA and Canada. And finally, Meta AI will be available for use in the EU with its smart glasses.

Live translation is now available in all parts of the world where Ray-Ban Meta glasses are sold after being in beta. This tool can be useful when traveling abroad or when speaking with someone who speaks another language, as it can offer real-time translations in your desired language with machine learning. Plus, you get to see a transcription on your phone.

Live translation will be available in English, French, Spanish, and Italian. As long as you've downloaded the language pack before, you can use it without needing Wi-Fi or mobile data from your connected phone. Simply say, "Hey Meta, start live translation" to get started.

American and Canadian users can now use Meta's Live AI feature, which lets you ask questions about your surroundings without saying "Hey Meta" every time... Or, you can also interrupt it, which is an option that was previously only available in beta. Live AI allows you to chat with your glasses in natural language about your environment, or to ask it to explain things like missing ingredients for a meal or what wine pairs best with a dish. To start, say "Hey Meta, start live AI."

Meta AI will also be available in all product-supported countries within the European Union. And by next week, EU countries will receive Vision Search, which can answer questions about your surroundings that are triggered by the user, but it can't carry on a natural conversation with any interruption (like Live AI).

On top of this, the glasses' Instagram integration is expanding. Soon, you'll be able to send and receive Instagram DMs, photos, audio calls and video calls on your Ray-Bans. The glasses already have calls and messages through WhatsApp, Messenger, and your phone's messaging app, so they have a pretty good range of communication options at this point. You can kick things off by saying, "Hey Meta, send a message to [your recipient's name] on Instagram."

The company is expanding support to Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Shazam in the product's non-North American regions. You will now be able to ask your glasses questions such as the name of a song or when an album was released.

Although there was no announcement of any major hardware upgrades today (the next revision with a screen is rumored to launch later this year), Meta and Ray-Ban are expanding the line of styles available for the second-gen glasses.

There are new Skyler frame and lens color combinations, including the cat-eye shaped Shiny Chalky Gray with Transitions Sapphire lenses, and the "more timeless" Skyler Shiny Black with G15 Green lenses and Skyler Shiny Black with Clear lenses.

It's sad that the startup sound of older consoles will no longer be there.

Sony has announced that the PlayStation 5 will be receiving a software update that will return the console to the look it had in days gone by. This is good news for fans who were overjoyed to hear that the company was planning to create permanent visual options based on the aesthetics of previous Sony generations, as it did during the PlayStation 30th anniversary. The return of the four old-school UI looks is the highlight of the forthcoming PS5 update.

One thing that is not coming back are the startup audio chimes that greeted each generation. But the visual parts can be freely customized in the Appearance tab of the Settings menu.

On the other hand, the other big part of the next software update is the Audio Focus feature, which can help to increase immersion during a play session with a headset or headphones. Using these presets, players will be able to adjust the focus on voice, low frequency sounds, high frequency sounds, and quiet sounds. Users will also be able to determine whether the level of amplification is low, moderate or high.

The PS5 update is scheduled to start rolling out globally on April 24.
