You have the option of using any one of the following approaches in order to verify the balance of your Employees' Provident Fund (EPF):

1. Use the UAN (Universal Account Number) Portal so that you may check your EPF balance.
Proceed to the official EPFO member portal, which is referred to as the EPFO Portal.
A second step is to select the "For Employees" tab that is located inside the "Our Services" section.
In the third step, navigate to the "Services" section and select the "Member Passbook" option.
Step 4: In order to log in, you will need to enter your Universal Account Number (UAN) and your password.
You have the option of generating a UAN through the portal or through your company if you do not already possess one.
The fifth step is to click on "View Passbook" once you have successfully logged in to view the specifics of your EPF balance.
2. Check the balance of your EPF account via text message
In order to check your EPF balance through SMS, the first step is to make sure that your UAN is linked with your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account details.
Secondly, send a text message to the number 7738299899 using the following format:
ENG version of the code EPFOHO UAN
"ENG" should be replaced with the language code (for example, ENG stands for English, HIN stands for Hindi, etc.), and "UAN" should be replaced with your Universal Account Number.
In the third step, you will receive an SMS with the details of your EPF balance.
3. Use the missed call feature to check the balance of your EPF account
The first thing you need to do is put in a missed call to the number 011-22901406 from the mobile number that you registered.
A text message with information on your EPF balance will be sent to you in the second step.
Please take note that in order for this service to function, your UAN must be linked to your Aadhaar and your KYC details must be updated.
4. Utilize the EPFO Mobile App to Access Your EPF Balance
Download the EPFO mobile app from the Google Play Store (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iOS) as the first step with this process.
Open the application and log in with your UAN and password. This is the second step.
Step 3: Once you have successfully logged in, in order to view your EPF balance, navigate to the "Passbook" section.
5. Verify your EPF balance using text message (UAN Registration)
Your UAN needs to be activated and linked to your Aadhaar in order for you to be able to check your balance using SMS. It is necessary for you to make a request to your employer to register your UAN if they have not already done so themselves.
6. Check your employer's EPF balance with them.
In the event that you are unable to use the aforementioned options, you can also verify the balance of your EPF by calling the human resources or accounts department of your workplace. If you ask them, they will be able to give you information about the balance of your EPF account.
To note:
Registering for the UAN: In the event that you do not possess a UAN, you are required to obtain one by either accessing the EPFO portal or obtaining one from your employer.
Compliance with KYC: If you want to use any of the online services, you need to make sure that your UAN is linked to your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account.
You can simply check the balance of your EPF account at any moment by using any of these aforementioned methods.
