The following actions should be followed in order to either temporarily disable your Snapchat account or delete it permanently:

1. Permanently deactivate your Snapchat account for the time being
In the event that you wish to temporarily deactivate your Snapchat account and then return to it at a later time, you can do so by following these steps:

First, launch the Snapchat application on your mobile device.
Tap on your profile icon (either a Bitmoji or an avatar) located in the upper-left corner of the screen.
3. To access the Settings menu, tap the gear symbol located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
The fourth step is to scroll down and then touch on the "Account Actions" option.
First, select "Delete Account" from the menu. In spite of the fact that it reads "Delete," this will send you to the deactivation page first, where you will have the option to select temporary deactivation.
Following the completion of Step 6, you will be taken to a web page that will request that you log in using your username and password.
Snap will provide you with the option to "Deactivate" your account once you have successfully logged in to your Snapchat account. After thirty days, it will be deactivated, and during that time, you will have the opportunity to log back in and revive it if you so desire.
2. Delete completely and irretrievably your Snapchat account
If you wish to deactivate your Snapchat account for good, you will need to follow several steps, including the following:

First, navigate to the page where you can delete your Snapchat account: It is not possible to delete a Snapchat account from within the app; to do so, you must use a web browser.
Step 2: Enter your username and password to log in to your Snapchat account.
The third step is to confirm the deletion request by clicking on the "Continue" button after you have logged in.
At this point, your account will be deactivated for a period of thirty days. It is possible that your friends will be unable to communicate with you on Snapchat during this time period; however, if you change your mind and log back in, you will still be able to retrieve your account and any data associated with it.
In the fifth step, your account will be completely wiped after the thirty days have passed, and you will not be able to retrieve any of the data that is associated with it.
To note:
When you deactivate your account, it will stay dormant for a period of thirty days after the procedure has been completed. In the event that you do not log in after that point, your account will be erased completely forever.
All of your Snaps, Chats, Friends, and Settings will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored if you delete your account completely. This includes the loss of all of your data.
In the event that you change your mind about deactivating your account, you can easily reactivate it by logging in again during the next thirty days. This will result in your account being considered active again.
By following these steps, you will be able to deactivate or delete your Snapchat account, depending on your personal desire.
