Early access to the new Ballistic mode will be available beginning on December 11th.

On December 11, Fortnite will introduce a new game mode called Ballistic, which will offer a 5v5 tactical first-person shooting experience to the game. Early access will begin on that day. When playing in Ballistic mode, one team will be charged with planting a Rift Point Device, which will explode forty-five seconds after it has been placed. The other team will be responsible for preventing the Rift Point Device from being planted. According to a post on the Fortnite site, there will initially be only one map (Skyline 10) and a restricted range of weapons and equipment. However, over time, further content will be added in the form of "major updates" that will be released in the future.

A no-build option is described as "Ballistic," according to the Fortnite team. "All of the presets that you have saved in your Locker will be transferred over to Ballistic, which is compatible with all of the Fortnite Outfits, Back Blings, Kicks, Wraps, Sprays, and Emotes that you already have! Jam Tracks, Pickaxes, Contrails, Instruments, and Vehicles are not supported or used because they are not used. In the event that you are eliminated during a round, you will not be able to respawn yourself. You are going to return in the subsequent round, nonetheless. At the end of the sixth round, the roles of the teams will be switched, and the competition will be over after one of the teams has won seven rounds. You will have the option to play either ranked or unranked.

The Ballistic mode will be accessible in all regions where Fortnite can be played, with the exception of South Korea and Russia. However, the team has stated that they are "working to make Ballistic available in both regions' environments." Considering that it is an early access version, the feedback from players will be utilized to enhance the overall experience as it grows.
