To delete your Instagram account, follow these steps:
To temporarily disable:

You cannot delete your Instagram account from the app, so you must use a web browser.- Open your browser (Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) and go to Instagram.com.
- Log in to your account using your username and password.

- Once logged in, visit the Account Deletion page directly by going to:

- Instagram will ask you why you want to delete your account. Select an option from the dropdown menu. If you don’t want to choose a reason, you can select "Something else."

- After selecting a reason, Instagram will ask you to enter your password again to confirm that it's really you.

- Once you've entered your password, click on the "Permanently delete my account" button.
- Your account will be deactivated immediately, and Instagram will begin the process of permanently deleting your account.

- Instagram will delete your account permanently within 30 days. During this time, your account will be deactivated but not fully deleted. After 30 days, all your data, posts, and account details will be permanently erased.
Alternative: Deactivate Your Account
If you don’t want to permanently delete your account but just want to take a break, you can temporarily disable your Instagram account instead.To temporarily disable:
- Go to your Instagram profile page.
- Click on the Edit Profile button.
- Scroll down and select Temporarily disable my account.
- Follow the prompts to temporarily deactivate your account.
